Facebook & the FAA

FAA Statement
February 22 - Deputy Transportation Secretary John Porcari, FAA Administrator Michael P. Huerta and other FAA officials met with senior executives from The Boeing Company today to discuss the status of ongoing work to address 787 battery issues. The FAA is reviewing a Boeing proposal and will analyze it closely. The safety of the flying public is our top priority and we won’t allow the 787 to return to commercial service until we’re confident that any proposed solution has addressed the battery failure risks.

Sure. . . .

Update as of July 31, 2013: NYTimes coverage of Plan to Capture Asteroid: AS of July 30, 2013, update on plan to capture asteroid. Keep up the good work! No connection. You know, it's funny. . .when I wrote my screenplay, I had to blow up the moon to change the orbit of the earth to avoid a strike (change the mass of one, change the orbit of the other), just for a split second, mind you,(think of a tetter-totter and what happens when one child gets off) and the mass of the moon came back together immediately, or almost so, but it played hell with the tides, (I'll give you that). . . it was a great exercise, but since then, I'm convinced, I made it more real by fleshing out the details and now everytime I hear one of these stories. . .I just cringe. Here's some more for kindred souls out there who believe this is all a crap shoot, anyhow. . . congressional hearings. Earth&SKY. B612 Foundation.
