Establishing Jurisdiction for denied boarding

CIVIL PROCEDURE – When Gupta attempted to board a Bangkok plane bound for Los Angeles, Thai Airways employees refused to allow Gupta to board because they determined his U.S. visa was invalid. The 9th Circuit found that Gupta had a full and fair opportunity to establish the jurisdiction of United States courts over Thai Airways. Judge Bea wrote, β€œHe failed to do so. He does not now get a do-over.” SEE Gupta v. Thai Airways International via Courthousenews.com.
