The case of Lisa Nowak, the Space Shuttle Astronaut who flipped out over a rival, is the best argument for a "past is not prologue" I can imagine. Here she was, a Naval Academy Graduate, Graduate of the Navy's Test Pilot Program, Astronaut, mother of three, etc., etc., and she is done IN by her own jealous demons.
