This is my passport. . . This is my hammer. . .
All passports issued by the US State Dept will have always on radio frequency ID chips in them after Jan. 1, 2007. This feature will make it easy for terrorists to ID you anywhere in the world. Although tampering with a passport is a crime punishable by up to 25 years in prison, some will find it necessary to protect their own and their family's personal safety abroad by disabling the chip. Don't put it in a microwave. It may cause a fire. A non working RFID chipped passport is still useable.
